My Bad Dad -- Actor Bios
JOE POLHEMUS
Josiah Polhemus starred in the award winning independent film The Scottish Tale. He is also an award-winning filmmaker having won both best screenplay and best film for his short films "Pause" and "Vision" at the Hollywood Scarefest. He has appeared on “Tracey Takes On...” , in “The Truth About Cats and Dogs” and on "Days of Our Lives." He has appeared in over fifty plays and won Best Featured Male Performance for his portrayal of George Deever in Arthur Miller's "All My Sons." His docu-drama "No Plan: Stories of survival in the Big Easy" raised money for specific families who suffered as a result of Hurricane Katrina. He is a graduate of the American Conservatory Theater's MFA program in Acting.

ANN (BOEHLKE) POLHEMUS
“My Bad Dad” is the second feature that Ann starred in and produced, the first being The Scottish Tale. which thrilled audiences worldwide. Ann has been a professional actor/singer for over 25 years. Credits include FILM: “The Detonator”(Scott Baio), True Stories (David Byrne), “Party at Sams”(Doug Eboch), Class Action(Michael Apted). TV: “Baywatch”, “American Beauty Search” (Miss Colorado), ”BeachClash”. THEATER: National tours of “Wizard of Oz”(Dorothy) & “Pinocchio”(Pinocchio), “Hamlet” & “Romeo & Juliet” (LA Women’s Shakespeare), “Fiddler on the Roof” (PCPA), “Evita”, “West Side Story”, “Three Penny Opera”, “A…My Name is Alice”, “The 90’s Gay Musical” and “The Magic Flute” (LA OPERA directed by Sir Peter Hall). Ann is the director of her own acapella 1940’s trio THEGIRLGROUP.com and sang the theme song for “Garfield and Friends” and many jingles. She has sung for Discovery Cruise Lines, San Francisco Symphony, Cambridge Singers, The Edinburgh Festival and is currently cutting a solo album.

She studied acting at American Conservatory Theater and voice at Vanderbilt University where she also holds a BS in Molecular Biology. She was drafted into the women’s pro baseball league, played on a show softball team “The California Diamonds”, and has danced professionally. She is a mother of 3, has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and holds the Guinness Book World Record for the longest wedding train (412 ft.).


EMMA POLHEMUS
Emma is a bilingual fourth grader at Edison Spanish Language Academy. She starred in “My Bad Dad” at age 5 where she had over 400 lines and really held the kids together. Recent credits include co-star roles on “E.R.” and “Criminal Minds”, the award winning feature film “The Scottish Tale”, leads in Pacific Resident Theater’s “The Traveling Lady” by Horton Foote with Orson Bean and Alley Mills, Santa Monica Playhouse’s “Once Upon a Fairytail”, LOGOS’ musical productions of “The Ten Commandments” and “David & Goliath” directed by J.K. Hilbert and “Cesar Chavez” & “Los Indigenes”(entirely in Spanish). Emma’s commercials include McDonalds “Basketball”, K-Mart “The Judds”, and J.C. Penny to name a few. She played Chastity in the HBO Movie “Sonny & Cher” and did a national PSA for “I Am Your Child” with Meg Ryan. Emma has modeled for hundreds of print ads from Macy’s to My Size Nutcracker Barbie. Emma loves soccer, surfing, basketball, skateboarding, piano, trombone, flag football and funky dancing. She wants to thanks to her great coaches and amazing teacher at Edison, her crazy, loving parents and her agent, Hervey/Grimes.

MARY POLHEMUS
Mary is a first grader at Edison Language Academy. She is bilingual. At age 3 she starred in “My Bad Dad” where she handled over 300 lines with amazing comic timing and natural flare. Her professional stage debut was at age 6 in the acclaimed PRT production of “The Traveling Lady” by Horton Foote where she starred as ‘Margaret Rose’ with Orson Bean and Alley Mills. THEATER: “The Ten Commandments”, “David and Goliath”, ”Fairy Tale Theater”. FILM: “I Am Your Child I” with Meg Ryan, “Healthcare Documentary” with Sally Fields. TV: “The Young and the Restless”. Voice Over: “Lilo and Stitch” for Walt Disney World (her favorite job because of all the ad-libbing and slurping noises!). Print: Talbots, Disney, Hannah Anderson, Mattel, Bloomingdales, US Angels, Playhut and the Gerber Baby to name a few. Mary is an all-star soccer player and loves biking to the pier, speaking Spanish, dancing, ocean swimming and surfing, gymnastics and teasing and educating her family with her quick sense of humor and sage advice. She wants to thank her family and all the parents out there brave enough to have kids. She adds “’My Bad Dad’ is a movie ap-po-pi-ate for parents and kids to watch together- and don’t forget the popcorn!”

JOSIAH POLHEMUS
Josiah starred in “My Bad Dad” at age 1 and actually shot the horseback riding scene on his 2nd birthday. Though he couldn’t yet talk, he managed to blurt out his many lines with great enthusiasm. He has become much more vocal and has since landed jobs on 20th Century Fox TV’s “Yes, Dear!” and G.E., Lexus and McDonalds commercials. He has modeled for numerous print ads including Guess, Talbots, In-Shape, Land’s End, Garnet Hill, Land’s End and Old Navy to name a few. He is a natural athlete and excels at Skateboarding, Biking(rode 2-wheeler at age 3), Baseball, Track, Swimming, Gymnastics, Scooter and especially Soccer (he plays with kids two leagues older). He enjoys piano, singing and drums. He loves dancing, especially hip-hop and break-dancing. He draws amazing cartoon books and is an avid builder (he prefers Legos for age 8 and up!). He adores animals, mainly dogs and frogs.
